New CPN Class

The first week of classes have went pretty smoothly. I have no problems with any classes, and for the most part, all of my professors are really nice. The one class that has jumped out at me as being a class that will be fun and interesting is CPN 101 with Professor Emerson. The syllabus looks very interesting and all of the reading material seems to be within reach of my ability.

Last year, for my CPN 100 class, I kind of had a bad experience with my class. I was a transfer student, and hadn't taken an English class in my previous school. I felt like I was just thrown into a class that was required and I had no desire at all to take. The work was very tedious and the judgements on my portfolios were not stellar to say the least, so my experience was not a good one. I feel like this year everything will be different.

The professor seems like a nice guy and I feel like I will get more help and guidance with my writing. Since I am reading more material that interests me, hopefully everything shuld be easier to write about also. Plus, there's no portfolios for this class, and who can complain about that? I have high hopes for this class and hopefully I will have fun and become a better writer at the same time.

I totally agree with you. I think that my classes aren't that bad either. CPN 101 doesn't seem that bad. I took a college credit composition class in high school and it was pretty hard so I thought this was going to absolute hell. In all honesty though, it's not bad. I agree with you; the reading doesn't seem to be that bad and the work seems to be somewhat interesting.

I agree with you...I don't seem to have too much of a problem with any of my classes either and CPN does in fact seem within reach of my abilities as well. Professor Emerson truly made my semester when he said no portfolio...I was shocked and utterly filled with joy because I was dreading having to do one and sadly I had a bad experience with CPN 100 last year fall semester because my prof was horrible but that is in the past. Looking forward to this class and btw Michael Phelps is not a man...HE IS A FISH!! that is the only way to explain his unhumanlike abilities lol
